Under the agreement Mirth will provide HSX simple, secure messaging, a data interface/integration engine, a master patient index and a central data repository.
By choosing Mirth, HSX hopes to enable the more than 50 hospitals, medical practices, clinics and insurers that make up its customer base to collaborate in sharing patient health records and claims data with the data accessible at the point of care, regardless of the care setting or EHR system in place.
HSX is among more than 40 HIE clients nationwide for which Mirth provides HIE solutions.
