How do you make a supercomputer smarter? University of Illinois researchers will try this summer

Though IBM Watson breezed by the competition on its Jeopardy! appearance, the supercomputer is headed back to school to refine its knowledge.

Researchers at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign are collaborating with IBM Research to advance machine learning by creating new algorithms and technologies that allow computers to better mimic human learning, according to a Chicago Tribune report.

The partnership between the tech company and the university will create the Center for Cognitive Computing Systems Research, which will launch this summer at UIUC, according to the report.
