Ms. Rosen called the cuts bad policy in a June letter to House Appropriations Committee members Tom Cole, R-Okla., and Rosa DeLauro, D-Conn., who head up the Labor subcommittee, according to the Politico Morning eHealth newsletter,.

“Wider adoption of health information systems and the proliferation of [EMRs] necessitates more policy guidance and support for innovation, not less. … Now is not the time to slash spending in a core sector that will help make healthcare less expensive, more efficient and more effective,” the letter reads, according to Politico.
