Hospitals’ 3 Most-Adopted Mobile Technologies

Almost half (43 percent) of hospitals plan to provide clinicians and staff with additional mobile tools in the next year, according to a survey from HIMSS Analytics.

Mobile devices that will be adopted include:

  • Healthcare-specific tablets: 63 percent
  • Smartphones: 30 percent
  • Pagers: 8 percent

Survey results were based on responses from 170 health IT professionals.
