The Hospital for Special Surgery was an original co-development partner and the first health system to partner with Docent Health, which aims to improve patient experience with personalized support. Docent Health integrates with a hospital’s existing IT systems to develop a profile for each patient, combining clinical and person data. It then suggests personalized care and support services to address their needs.

The goal of the platform, which launched on year ago at the Hospital for Special Surgery, is to ensure each patient feels prepared before and after care events and to ensure their expectations are met. With the expanded agreement, the Hospital for Special Surgery will bring Docent Health to additional patient populations.

“We are proud that the industry-leading customer experience that we offer at HSS was the inspiration for Docent, and our use of Docent’s scalable technology platform has enabled us to provide that high level of personalized service to our growing patient population,” said Leonard Achan, RN, chief innovation officer at Hospital for Special Surgery.
