Through the partnership, hospitals can automate smart pump programming with a validated EHR medication order. In addition, the interoperability ensures medication data will be integrated into a patient’s EHR.
Hospira and Iatric are currently piloting the interoperability system at an undisclosed hospital in the U.S.
