The Steve Lieber Innovator Scholarship was established in 2017 to honor H. Stephen Lieber, the current president and CEO of HIMSS. Mr. Lieber is set to retire after more than 17 years, succeeded by Harold “Hal” Wolf III, who has served HIMSS for four years.
The scholarship will recognize an undergraduate, graduate or doctoral student who embraces the use of digital health in support of HIMSS’ mission, which focuses on improving health through IT. The award includes an invitation to the HIMSS Annual Conference & Exhibition and a $5,000 scholarship.
The call for applications — which includes nominations and self-nominations — will close Sept. 25. HIMSS will notify scholarship recipients in December.
