HIMSS 2016 preview: 4 things to know about the upcoming conference

The biggest health IT show of the year is right around the corner. Here are four things to know about the 2016 HIMSS Annual Conference & Exhibition.

1. HIMSS will be held from Monday, Feb. 29 through Friday, March 4 at the Las Vegas Sands Expo & Convention Center, which at 2.25 million square feet is one of the largest meeting centers in the world, according to HIMSS.

2. More than 40,000 health IT professionals, clinicians, executives and vendors from around the world are expected to attend HIMSS 2016.

3. The conference will feature more than 300 education programs, thought leader sessions, roundtable discussions and e-sessions.

4. Michael Dell, chairman and CEO of Dell Inc., is scheduled to deliver the opening keynote, and Peyton Manning, NFL quarterback and five-time NFL MVP is scheduled to deliver the closing keynote.
