Health information exchange company MRO acquires 2 EHR services

MRO, a King of Prussia, Pa.-based protected health information exchange company, acquired two medical record service companies June 24: Garland, Texas-based AMRAS and Mansfield, Texas-based AKCopy.

Following the acquisition of the two companies, MRO, expects to provide an additional 125 Texas-based health care organizations with solutions for the secure exchange and disclosure of protected health information.

MRO reports that during the transition, AMRAS and AKCopy clients will not be faced with disruptions to access or customer service and can expect efficient release of information services.
