The decision support system, called Leading Wisely, helps healthcare executives manage data from disparate sources. Leading Wisely combines and analyzes data from IT systems and software programs, including length of stay, patient satisfaction, mortality rate and readmissions.

The tool uses this data to provide executives with actionable insights related to clinical, business or financial planning. For example, Leading Wisely can analyze the cost and timeline of large-scale IT projects to help CIOs determine best practices for future rollouts.

“Now [executives] can filter through the thousands of measures available to easily find, track, follow up on and share those measures that are most meaningful to their roles or their teams, and that will have the greatest impact on performance,” said Dale Sanders, executive vice president of product development for Health Catalyst.
