Dr. Halamka is a practicing emergency medicine physician and editor-in-chief of the online, peer-review journal Blockchain in Healthcare Today.

The professorship aims to support incumbents as they “continue to advance medical innovation and progress in the international health care information technology landscape,” said Nancy Tarbell, dean for academic and clinical affairs and the HMS C.C. Wang Professor of Radiation Oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
