GovernmentCIO names new chief health information officer: 4 things to know

Jason Windsor will serve as chief health information officer of GovernmentCIO, a government information technology and research consultant.

Four things to know:

1. With more than 27 years of military experience, Mr. Windsor was a nurse specialist in the U.S. Army and served as presidential nurse with the White House Medical Unit during the George W. Bush administration.

2. Most recently, Mr. Windsor was an Army colonel at the Defense Health Agency, where he served as program manager of the military health system’s EHR applications.

3. Mr. Windsor has filled various leadership positions in IT and program management, including chief medical information officer for both the Northern Region and Pacific Region Medical Commands.

4. Mr. Windsor will assume his role as CHIO at GovernmentCIO in September.
