Epic consulting firm unveils Cerner business line: 4 notes

Nordic, an Epic EHR consulting company, launched a new service line to provide EHR system support to Cerner clients.

Four notes:

1. Nordic, which was founded in 2010, offers clients EHR support, advisory services, performance improvement, enterprise resource planning system solutions and managed services.

2. The new business line will provide Cerner clients with implementation support, resource and staff planning and standard and custom report writing, among other services.

3. More than 400 U.S. health systems have a Cerner EHR system, according to the news release.

"…With the current activity in mergers and acquisitions, there is an increase in [Cerner] Millennium implementations for both hospital and physician practices, which includes revenue cycle," Nordic Executive Adviser Mary Pat Fralick said. "This environment provides a great opportunity for Nordic to partner with healthcare organizations as we continue to serve our patient populations."

4. Nordic comprises more than 850 EHR consultants.
