Google already had a successful trial run of Waze in San Francisco and Israel.
Although it’s competing with big names like Uber and Lyft, Waze’s offerings will be slightly different. Waze will work as more of a true ride-sharing application, in which drivers can pick up and drop off individuals going in the same direction. Additionally, Waze is allegedly offering lower prices and currently refrains from taking a portion of its drivers’ earnings.
