Senosis uses smartphones as monitoring devices to collect health data capable of diagnosing conditions like pulmonary function and hemoglobin counts. The company’s apps — like SpiroSmart, SpiroCall, HemaApp and OsteoApp — are awaiting Food and Drug Administration approval, according to The Inquirer.
Shwetak Patel, PhD, a computer scientist at Seattle-based University of Washington who cofounded Senosis, declined comment to GeekWire. Representatives from Google were not immediately available for comment, according to GeekWire.
