Though not yet released, Google has been unveiling details of Android N, the company’s next mobile operating system, reports The Wall Street Journal. Android N is a placeholder name for the still unnamed system which is reported to have more than 250 new features.
Those features include a split-screen mode, multi-tasking capabilities, a quicker way to close out of all applications in use at once and allowing users to select skin color for emojis, according to the report.
Additionally, Android N is reported to have enhanced security measures, including the ability to encrypt individual files on a phone.
Android N has been released in beta form, and an official release is planned for later this summer, according to WSJ.
