Here are four things to know about the new cloud service.
1. GE’s Predix Cloud is designed to manage, analyze and store in real-time data from multiple industries.
2. The platform is based on a “gated community” model to ensure cloud tenants are part of the industrial ecosystem, according to the report.
3. Predix Cloud is designed for industries including healthcare, aviation, transportation and oil and gas utility providers.
4. GE plans to offer its PaaS through an on-demand, pay-as-you-go pricing model, according to the report.
