By moving the two platforms to AWS, GE Healthcare will let hospitals and imaging centers adopt cloud and hybrid implementations. Hybrid systems comprise both cloud and on-premises solutions.
GE Healthcare’s Edison TruePACS system will be the first AI-enabled imaging solution available under the new AWS offering. The medical imaging storage system provides hospitals with an AI-powered diagnostic imaging cloud tool, which was designed to be hosted on the cloud to curb data storage costs and speed up the integration of AI into under-resourced clinics.
GE Healthcare offers more than 200 digital and image-based applications across the world and manages more than four million medical devices.
