Five things to know:
1. GE Healthcare will implement more than 200 pieces of equipment in Affidea’s network of centers across Europe.
2. The technologies to be installed include 60 new MRIs, 50 ultrasound devices, 40 CT scanners and 30 X-ray machines in the next three years.
3. To build upon their collaboration in pharmaceutical diagnostics, Affidea will also leverage GE Healthcare’s contrast media product Clariscan during MRI exams.
4. Using GE Healthcare’s intelligence platform Edison, Affidea will deploy picture archiving and communication system-focused technology hubs that support performance analytics and drive imaging insights.
5. Affidea provides diagnostic imaging, outpatient and cancer care services at more than 270 medical centers in Europe.
