Former US CTO, athenahealth co-founder joins New America think tank

Todd Park now sits on the board of directors for New America, a left-leaning think tank focused on digital-age technology and policy.

In his most recent role, Mr. Park served as a White House technology advisor. He also served as U.S. chief technology officer in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and as chief technology officer of HHS during the Obama administration.

Prior to his career in the government, Mr. Park co-founded athenahealth in 1997 with Jonathan Bush — nephew of U.S. President George H.W. Bush and cousin of U.S. President George W. Bush — who currently serves as the company's CEO, president and chairman of the board of directors.

"I am honored and excited to join the New America team and look forward to doing everything I can to help advance its work at the intersection of technology, policy and issues of critical importance to the future of our nation," Mr. Park said.
