Noom, a mobile health coaching technology company, tapped ex-Uber Head of Data Aaron Schildkrout to join its board of directors.

Here are three things to know.

  1. Noom offers an artificially intelligent mobile application that connects patients to health coaches for weight loss, obesity, pre-diabetes, diabetes, pre-hypertension and hypertension care.
  2. Mr. Schildkrout took on the head of data post at Uber in 2015, where he also led the growth and marketing team and oversaw the development of Uber's rider product and driver product.
  3. Prior to Uber, Mr. Schildkrout was the co-founder and CEO of HowAboutWe, an online dating platform.

"I've been working with the Noom team for five years as an advisor," Mr. Schildkrout said in a press release. "During that time I've watched them innovate their way from a popular weight loss app into a genuinely game-changing mobile coaching solution that is poised to transform the treatment of chronic conditions, from weight loss to diabetes management. I'm thrilled to formally join the board to help the team grow and scale."
