Dr. Newman spent 35 years of his career at Geisnger, serving as director of quality and innovation at its medicine institute. He came out of retirement to join the Eon team.

Eon is a health data science company that aims to identify and manage patients with previously unknown diagnoses that are found incidentally. It uses computational linguistics and care management to do so.

“In all of my years of experience and research, I finally feel there is a solution to the broken system I have spent my life trying to rectify,” Dr. Newman said.

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
