97% of Hospitals in the Hospital Outpatient Quality Reporting Program Receive Full Payment Update

Ninety-seven percent of hospitals participating in the Hospital Outpatient Quality Reporting Program will receive full payment updates for 2011, according to an AHA News Now report.

The hospitals that did not meet the requirements for full updates or chose not to participate in the program will receive a 2 percentage point reduction of the annual payment update, which equates to a 0.1 percentage point update in 2011, according to the report.

Hospitals that did not meet the requirements can ask CMS to reconsider their determination by filing a reconsideration request form by Feb. 3.
