The Humber River Hospital is outfitted with 656 touchpad beds that enable patients to review medical records and charts, make phone calls, watch television and adjust temperature in the room, according to Tech Times. The chemotherapy unit boasts robots that mix prescriptions and check appropriate dosages for individual patients. Robots are also present the radiology department and in various other areas of the facility and deliver supplies and food to patient bedsides.
In addition to the hospital’s advanced technological features, it is equipped with a “green” roof and uses a decreased energy consumption system.
