The HIPAA-compliant eMurmur ID program sends readings from a smartphone-connected electronic stethoscope to the cloud for artificial intelligence-powered analysis. Within seconds, users receive results in the eMurmur app, which also transmits the information to a web portal where physicians can access the recordings and results.
The program is capable of identifying pathologic and physiologic heart murmurs, S1 and S2 heart sounds and the absence of a heart murmur. Following multiple clinical studies, eMurmur ID has shown an accuracy rate of over 85 percent.
