University-based hospitals American Medical Center and VUmc, both in Amsterdam, have jointly chosen Epic to provide interoperable electronic health record systems. Hospital leaders expect the new EHR systems to facilitate improved patient safety and care.
Epic already had a presence in the Netherlands, as a handful of Dutch hospitals are currently live on the EHR.
