Epic, InterSystems boast most new hospitals in 2016, KLAS finds

Cerner has the largest global EMR hospital market share outside of the U.S., with almost double the number of hospitals under contract as the second-largest vendor, MV, according to a KLAS report.

For the "Global EMR Market Share 2017" report, KLAS analyzed hospital contracts signed between Jan. 1, 2016, and Dec. 31, 2016. The report considered more than 115 EMR decisions from 238 hospitals, including providers selecting a first-time EMR, replacing their current vendor or adding a hospital to an existing contract.
