Elon Musk is more concerned about AI than North Korea, says regulation needed

Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who has been vocal about his fears regarding artificial intelligence, unleashed a flurry of tweets Friday warning AI is more dangerous than the threat posed by North Korea, reports The Hill.

"If you're not concerned about AI safety, you should be. Vastly more risk than North Korea," Mr. Musk tweeted.

The tweet was in reference to his nonprofit startup, OpenAI, which recently defeated several of the world's best video game players. Last month, Mr. Musk called on government officials to regulate AI, before it's "too late."

"Nobody likes being regulated, but everything (cars, planes, food, drugs, etc) that's a danger to the public is regulated. AI should be too," he added on Twitter.
