Eli Lilly, Anthem partner to share data

Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly and Co., Indianapolis-based Anthem and Wilmington, Del.-based HealthCore are collaborating on a partnership to improve health outcomes.

A report by The Indianapolis Star indicates the focus of the research collaboration will be on drug use and prescription practices.

Through the five-year research collaboration, the companies will develop and conduct research projects of mutual interest to quicken the timeline from gathering evidence from the population to having the information accessible to clinicians.

"The need has never been greater to translate an ever-increasing amount of complex data into targeted and meaningful information that enables better decision-making by patients, healthcare professionals and the industry," said Tim Garnett, senior vice president and CMO of Eli Lilly.
