Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission releases 2017 criteria

The Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission has finalized its 2017 criteria for 18 programs, including ACO, data registry and health information exchange accrediting programs.

EHNAC, a nonprofit accrediting body for organizations that electronically exchange healthcare data, sets standards that measure an organization’s ability to meet federal and state healthcare reform mandates, such as HIPAA.

This year’s changes to accreditation criteria include a focus on alignment with HHS’ Office for Civil Rights 2016 Phase 2 HIPAA Audit Program, DirectTrust’s policies and overall security consistency.
