A team of administrators, physicians and staff selected Epic to coordinate IT systems across the organization’s various facilities. The go-live culminates more than a year of IT planning and training at Eisenhower Medical Center.
Through the Epic system, patients will also be able to access health records, pay bills and request appointments online.
“Patients will experience a more seamless system — with less repetition of filling out the same forms in multiple physician offices — and easier access to their electronic health record from different areas of the health system,” said David Perez, vice president and CIO of Eisenhower Medical Center.
