The Sequoia Project, the Recognized Coordinating Entity for the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement, updated its TEFCA Governing Council roster Aug. 10, naming 19 representatives from health systems, health information networks, technology vendors and federal agencies.
TEFCA is the ONC-overseen national framework for exchanging health data across qualified health information networks. Its Governing Council, which replaced the Transitional Council, advises the Sequoia Project on TEFCA policies, disputes and strategic direction.
Matthew Eisenberg, MD, associate chief medical information officer at Palo Alto, Calif.-based Stanford Health Care, chairs the council. John Blair III, MD, CEO of MedAllies, serves as vice chair.
