East Adams Rural Healthcare, a Ritzville, Wash.-based rural emergency hospital, has selected Azalea Health as its new EHR vendor.
East Adams moved off its previous enterprise EHR platform after determining the system was too complex and costly for an organization its size, according to a Sept. 15 Azalea Health news release. The hospital prioritized a vendor with experience serving rural emergency hospitals, clinical interoperability between the hospital and its attached rural health clinics, and a partnership-based implementation approach.
The hospital also said Azalea Health’s ability to execute operational changes quickly, without the lengthy delays common to larger EHR rollouts, influenced its decision.
East Adams’ operations team is guiding implementation decisions to minimize disruption to clinical and financial workflows, according to the release.
