Aberdeen, Wash.-based Harbor Regional Health is deepening its decades-long partnership with Meditech by transitioning to the company’s cloud-based Expanse EHR system.
The move — part of a broader effort to modernize care delivery — will shift the health system to Meditech-as-a-Service, a subscription model designed to reduce infrastructure costs and IT maintenance burdens, according to a May 28 news release.
As part of the transition, Harbor Regional Health will consolidate its ambulatory and home care records onto the Expanse platform and use Meditech’s Traverse Exchange network to share data with other providers in the region.
The switch aims to unify patient records and streamline workflows across the system’s hospital and clinics.
