Fort Stockton, Texas-based Pecos County Memorial Hospital District is moving to Meditech Expanse as its unified EHR platform.
The critical access hospital will deploy the EHR through Meditech as a Service, the company’s cloud-based offering, according to a Sept. 10 news release. The system will replace separate platforms currently used across the hospital’s acute care, emergency department and ambulatory settings.
Pecos County Memorial said the transition is aimed at giving clinicians a single patient record and more consistent workflows across care settings.
The hospital also plans to use Meditech’s Traverse Exchange network to exchange patient information with outside specialists and health systems.
Pecos County Memorial operates a Level 4 trauma emergency department and provides 24/7 coverage from board-certified emergency physicians.
