Stephens Memorial Hospital District in Breckenridge, Texas, will switch to Oracle Health’s CommunityWorks EHR system, The Breckenridge Texan reported July 16.
The new platform, which will go live on July 20, will unify patient records across every facility in the district, including Stephens Memorial Hospital, Breckenridge Medical Center, the Walk-In Clinic at BMC, and SMH Physical Therapy and Wellness. Providers at any of these locations will be able to view a patient’s full emergency, outpatient and inpatient visit history in one system.
To populate the new system with current data, staff will collect updated demographic information from patients during their first visit after the conversion. This includes address, phone number, emergency contact details, photo identification and insurance cards.
The conversion adds Stephens Memorial Hospital District to a growing list of rural and critical access hospitals nationwide that have adopted Oracle Health’s CommunityWorks platform in recent years.
