Bethlehem, Pa.-based St. Luke’s University Health Network has partnered with Microsoft to boost cybersecurity across its 13-hospital and 67-practice footprint.

The health system rationalized its security tool portfolio and increased its data visibility after adding new solutions from the tech giant. Microsoft has been increasing its healthcare cybersecurity offerings in recent years, including free and low-cost resources for rural hospitals.

“I believe that is likely the first company on the cusp of creating the predictive model that will take us past threat detection and enable threat prevention,” St. Luke’s Chief Information Security Officer David Finkelstein said in a December Microsoft news release.
