OSF HealthCare Saint Katharine Medical Center in Dixon, Ill., is set to transition to a new electronic health record system April 1, Shaw Local reported March 17.

The hospital will go live with an Epic EHR as part of an upgrade aimed at improving care coordination, streamlining workflows and expanding digital tools for patients.

The transition will integrate the medical center into OSF HealthCare’s broader system, allowing care teams to access unified patient information across facilities. It will also introduce OSF MyChart, a patient portal designed to enhance communication and access to health information.

Hospital staff have spent months preparing for the change, beginning in September, with training, system development and testing to support a smooth rollout.

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
