Achieving QHIN designation would allow Oracle Health customers to participate in a standardized, secure framework for nationwide health information sharing, according to a Feb. 24 news release. The EHR vendor began the process to achieve Qualified Health Information Network status in October.
TEFCA was launched in December as part of the 21st Century Cures Act mandate.
Epic Nexus, a subsidiary of EHR vendor Epic, was one of the first organizations to receive the Qualified Health Information Network designation in December.
Oracle Health will join Epic, Meditech, athenahealth, and other organizations already leveraging TEFCA to enhance patient care.
