Three notes:
1. The health system, which deployed Sunrise in 2005, currently uses the EHR at 19 Northwell hospitals.
2. In 2018, Northwell extended its Allscripts TouchWorks EHR agreement. The health system will extend its Sunrise contract until December 2027.
3. Northwell operates 23 hospitals and more than 750 outpatient facilities.
Earlier this month, Northwell partnered with Allscripts to develop a cloud-based, voice-enabled EHR system. While the project is underway, Northwell will continue using the Sunrise EHR.
