Hamilton, N.Y.-based Community Memorial Hospital plans to replace its legacy EHR systems with Oracle Health technology.
The 25-bed critical access hospital will implement the Oracle Health Foundation EHR along with Oracle Health Clinical AI Agent, a voice-driven tool that automatically drafts clinical notes from patient visits, according to a Jan. 12 news release.
In addition to the EHR and AI documentation tool, the hospital will deploy Oracle Health Seamless Exchange, which allows clinicians to access patient information from outside sources such as national and local health information exchanges and immunization registries. The system aggregates, cleans and deduplicates data so it can be incorporated into clinicians’ existing workflows, according to the release.
Community Memorial did not disclose a timeline for the implementation. The decision follows years of reliance on disconnected, heavily customized legacy systems that created inefficiencies, duplicate patient records and administrative burden for staff, according to the release.
