Since May 2022, the health system has been building the backend for the new system and preparing for data extraction.

The switch, according to Lakewood Health System, will give the health system the opportunity to provide patients with more access to care information, integrated bill-pay, and more MyChart uses and applications.

Internally, the new EHR gives staff better flexibility to adjust and streamline workflows.
