Microsoft rolled out new radiology-specific capabilities for its clinical AI assistant, Dragon Copilot, at the Radiological Society of North America’s 2025 Annual Meeting, expanding the tool’s integration with the company’s PowerScribe One reporting system.
Now in preview, the update brings generative, multimodal and agentic AI directly into radiologists’ existing workflows. The tool is designed to streamline report creation by summarizing prior studies, generating draft impressions from imaging, answering clinical questions through a built-in chat tool, and identifying missing documentation that could affect billing and quality measures.
Sean Cleary, MD, vice chair of informatics for imaging sciences at the University of Rochester (N.Y.) Medical Center, said in a Nov. 24 news release that the integration allows radiologists to test new AI capabilities “with minimal disruptions” to reporting.
