Hospital for Special Care adds 3 more Allscripts solutions

Hospital for Special Care in New Britain, Conn., expanded its collaboration with Allscripts and extended its commitment with the company through 2026.

The Hospital for Special Care is a freestanding, long-term acute care hospital that offers numerous services, including advanced care and rehabilitation in pulmonary care, acquired brain injury, medically complex pediatrics and neuromuscular disorders as well as autism spectrum disorder services.

Per the expansion of the relationship with Allscripts, Hospital for Special Care will add the company’s Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances, Surescripts Medical History Acute and Sunrise Enterprise Registration and Scheduling solutions. The hospital hopes to enhance its medication management initiatives as well as scheduling services with the new solutions.

The hospital currently uses several Allscripts solutions, including Allscripts Sunrise Acute Care, Sunrise Ambulatory Care, Sunrise Rehabilitation and Sunrise Pharmacy.
