HCA Healthcare UK has implemented Meditech Expanse, a cloud-based EHR system, across its 11 acute care facilities and dozens of outpatient locations.

The unified platform provides clinicians with a consolidated view of patients’ health records, enhancing safety and improving workflow efficiencies, according to a Dec. 18 news release.

The move standardizes HCA Healthcare UK onto a single, evidence-based platform, enabling clinical and IT teams to collaborate more effectively and reducing reliance on disparate applications. The system also improves usability with mobile access and web-native navigation, allowing nurses to document care and identify patients directly at the point of care.

In October, Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare completed the first wave of its Meditech Expanse rollout in the U.S., bringing the system live at 32 hospitals across its network.
