Epic, Quest Diagnostics partner

Epic will provide software to Quest Diagnostics under a new deal to improve digital connectivity with health systems and other providers.

The EHR company, which has been expanding its laboratory footprint in recent years, inked a deal with the lab giant to implement the Epic Diagnostic Enterprise system across Quest Diagnostics over the next few years.

“Together, Epic and Quest will make testing easier to navigate for patients while reducing friction for providers and health systems,” Epic President Sumit Rana stated in a Sept. 23 Quest news release. “From creation of a single comprehensive test list to a better patient experience with MyChart and more, this is an opportunity to transform the healthcare experience at a national scale.”
