Abbott has signed an agreement with Epic to integrate data from its Libre continuous glucose monitoring systems directly into the EHR vendor’s platforms.

The integration will allow healthcare providers to access glucose data from patients’ LibreView accounts within Epic’s Aura software, according to an April 29 news release from Abbott. The goal is to streamline clinical workflows and support more informed care by making glucose data readily available before, during and after patient visits.

Epic’s Aura platform connects health systems with diagnostic labs and medical device companies.
