Springfield, Mo.-based CoxHealth is going live with Epic on March 1 after a two-year implementation.
The six-hospital system selected its new EHR vendor in December 2023, embarking on what the organization called “one of the largest technology upgrades in our history.”
CoxHealth paused some online features amid the transition, including online self-scheduling Feb. 16 and patient portal messaging and refill requests Feb. 22, according to a recent timeline. MyChart signups began Feb. 16.
The health system grew its IT team headcount and insourced some functions for the switch.
