Five things to know about Cerner’s financial results for the third quarter of 2021, which ended Sept. 30.
1. Cerner’s revenue for the third quarter was up 7 percent from $1.37 billion during the third quarter of 2020.
2. The EHR company reported $175.8 million in net earnings, down 50.7 percent from $356.7 million during the same time period last year.
3. Cerner’s professional services division led the company’s revenue drivers for the third quarter at $551.7 million.
4. Following professional services, Cerner posted the most revenue through its managed services at $323.1 million; support and maintenance at $257 million; licensed software at $199.1 million; and subscriptions at $91.8 million.
5. Cerner said it expects its fourth quarter revenue to grow upper-mid-single digits compared to its 2020 fourth quarter revenue, bringing the company’s full-year revenue growth to about 5 percent.
