Cape Fear Valley Health to replace Cerner EHR with Epic system

Fayetteville, N.C.-based Cape Fear Valley Health will roll out an Epic EHR across its hospitals and clinics through summer 2019.

Cape Fear Valley Health currently uses two Cerner software systems to manage its patient records. The transition to Epic will take place systemwide, across a seven-county region in southeastern North Carolina.

Under the contract with Epic, patients will also have access to Epic’s patient portal, called MyChart.
